Five members of Andover's Goshin Ju Jitsu Ryu flew to Las Vegas to compete at the World Ju Jitsu Championships as part of the England Sports Ju Jitsu Squad, and bought home a number of medals.
Mike 'Mad Dog' McGarry won the World Masters Lightweight Division Gold and the individual Grappling Division 5 Bronze
Alexei Roberts Individual Sports Ju Jitsu Division 4 Silver, Grappling Division 6 Silver and Championship Team Bronze

Martin Tweed - Grappling Division 9 Bronze and Individual Sports Ju Jitsu Division 5 Bronze
Alex 'Tiny' Gee - Individual Sports Ju Jitsu Division 5 Silver and Championship Team Bronze
Over all the 30+ strong England Sports Ju Jitsu Squad brought home more than 40 medals between them, a fantastic achievement considering the world class opponents from USA, Australia, Canada, Argentinia, Ireland, Switzerland etc..
